Experience |
Alex is a Heritage Consultant and Conservation Architecture Specialist with experience in the assessment, preservation, restoration, management, and maintenance planning for heritage and historic structures. She graduated with a Master of Architecture (MArch(Prof)) degree from the University of Auckland in 2017 and has worked on a wide range of unique and challenging heritage projects across New Zealand. Extensive travel through Europe founded her interest in the conservation and preservation of historic structures and the development of cultural identity through these buildings. Alex has worked on numerous projects which have involved the alteration and adaptive re-use of heritage buildings and structures and is experienced in providing detailed condition assessments for historic buildings. Alex also has a strong grasp of regulatory frameworks, often working with Territorial Authorities on RMA issues, and is experienced in the area of Resource Consents. She has experience in all areas of the architectural process, including project initiation and predesign, concept and preliminary design, developed and detailed design, and construction observation. Alex has recently become accredited with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) under their Building Conservation Accreditation Scheme (BCAS). |
